Cool, a bit grungy and totally rock ‘n’ roll; finally, Stephen Webster’s quirky jewelry is available in Amsterdam. Bonebakker Jewellers is proud to present the entire collection of this rebellious Englishman exclusively for The Netherlands!
Stephen Webster does everything just a little differently. The edgy rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets of this world-famous brand are recognizable from afar and beautifully made with respect for people and the environment. So it’s no surprise that many stars from the music and showbiz world, such as Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and Pink, are big fans of Stephen Webster Jewelry’s glamorous jewelry. That doesn’t mean these eye-catching jewels are only made for stars. After all, aren’t we all a bit ‘rock ‘n’ roll at heart?
At Bonebakker we are in love with Thorn, a tantalizing collection of jewels, and with the dreamy Crystal Haze jewelry in New Age style. Stephen Webster jewellery – for her and him – is now available in our shop.
Our favourite, the Thorn Collection, shows that love is (not always) a bed of roses. But our collection of Stephen Webster jewellery is much bigger than just the Thorn and the Thorn Embrace! In our jewellery shop in the Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam you can look and try on to your heart’s content. We’re sure you’ll fall in love with this collection as much as we do.
Stephen Webster was already behind the workbench at Hatton Garden in London at the age of 16, where he learned to make jewellery. He started his own brand in 1989 and hasn’t lost any of his creativity since then. Webster has been breaking the rules of the traditional jewelry industry for more than 40 years. His designs are intelligent, challenging and visionary and find their inspiration in art, fashion, music, literature and nature, with a pinch of gothic, hard rock and the whimsical sides of life. Stephen Webster’s jewellery is made with an eye for detail and absolute craftsmanship, for which he has won several awards. In 2013, he received an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) award from Prince Charles for his commitment to preserving British craftsmanship for future generations and for his efforts to create sustainable jewelry.
Throughout his four-decade career, Stephen Webster has always championed the use of ethically sourced materials in his jewellery. His vision is that high jewellery should not only be made perfectly, but it should also stand for something good, with sustainability as a core value. That’s why Stephen travelled to mines in Tanzania and Peru to meet the mining communities and find the source of the materials he uses in his work.
In 2011, he was one of the first jewellery brands in the world to receive a licence from the Fairtrade Gold Association for the use of ethically sourced gold. In 2016, he received the prestigious Butterfly Mark certification from Positive Luxury, a global collective of sustainability experts who want to make the luxury world fairer and more environmentally friendly.
The Skydiamond collection is the fruit of Stephen Webster’s desire for sustainability. Inspired by space and the sky, the jewels feature the world’s first carbon-negative diamond. Using patented technology, carbon is filtered from the air and transformed into diamonds in a high-pressure laboratory, returning clean air to the atmosphere – an innovative process that turns the air we breathe into certified Skydiamonds.
Each cut of the diamonds is unique to Stephen Webster, allowing the Skydiamond jewellery collection to offer a contemporary line, and can even be used as an alternative and eco-friendly bridal jewellery.
