The Crystal Haze technique shown in this magnificent Butterfly pendant is one of Stephen Webster’s signature techniques and one he invented himself in the early 1990s. Two layers of transparent gemstones are fused creating a dreamy New Age look. The style was adopted by Madonna, who appreciated the glitzy style with the cloudy colours. Stephen Webster’s ingenious method of encasing a gemstone under a lens of magnifying rock crystal has since been copied by multiple other jewellers but made him a world-famous and much-loved designer all over the world.
