This iconic Ole Lynggaard snake ring reflects the organic and sculptural silhouette of the serpent

It was while visiting exotic Cairo in the early 1960s that Ole Lynggaard first discovered the overwhelming expression of snake designs. Hypnotized by the graphic beauty of the vibrant vertebrate, the young goldsmith designed his first fine jewellery serpent for his wife and muse, Karin. The idea of a full collection of snake jewellery was to remain in the designer’s mind for half a century before the Snakes Collection was finally unveiled in 2013.

Since the introduction of the Snakes jewellery, the collection has been expanded with additional designs. Over the past few years, Charlotte Lynggaard has designed several exclusive Snake rings and special pieces making the collection a piece of shared design history between the father and daughter.

This year, it has been 10 years since The Snakes Collection was first introduced. Through the years, it has wriggled its way into the hearts of many – and to this day, it is one of the brand’s most coveted collections. Even though many think the symbolism connected with snakes is one of danger, in reality, snakes stand for Wisdom, Healing, Rebirth and Transformation. And that’s exactly what will happen if you put this ring on your finger! The dreamy, orange-coloured moonstone puts an extra gleam of fire on your appearance. Moonstones are praised for their toned-down and sophisticated appearance, the proof is this magnificent ring.

Iconic Snakes jewellery playfully wraps around organic shapes. The collection contains snakes in various shapes. The snake ring winds sculpturally around the finger, a snake bracelet winds around the wrist and snake earrings curve from the ear. The iconic snakes are made of 18-carat gold and brilliant-cut diamonds. Some also meander around a coloured gemstone, such as the Ole Lynggaard snake ring that holds this moonstone.
