This 18 karat white gold ring features an untreated strong to deep red Ruby weighing 1.40 carat. The country of origin of the ruby has been determined to be Burma, known since early medieval times as the provenance of the best rubies worldwide.
Two round brilliant diamonds are set on both sides of the ruby. Around the 3 center stones and on the band round brilliant diamonds are set with a combined total weight of 0.71 carat in a G/H colour and VS2 clarity.
The ring is a European size 53, which is a US size 6 1/4. This ring can be resized within approx 2-3 sizes or please enquire if a further resize is required.
The Dutch Jeweller Bonebakker has enjoyed a long and illustrious history since its foundation in 1792. Bonebakker was commissioned to create the Royal Crown of Holland for the Prince of Orange (1840) and the Silver Keys to the city of Amsterdam (1806). Today antique pieces by Bonebakker can be found in the permanent collections of the Amsterdam Museum and the Rijksmuseum in Holland.
